What do I get for joining the Blues Society?
- Your dues help keep the Blues Society alive!
- Members receive a Back Beat newsletter. This keeps you up to date on what is happening within the Society, local blues events, bands, festivals, etc.
- Members receive discounts on all OBS merchandies, tickets and door cover charges for OBS events.
- Musicians schedule's will be e-mailed out each week to our e-mail list
- Meet and socialize with Oklahoma's finest blues lovers.
The Blues Society provides. . .
- A website to provide information to members and musicians. It contains featured events, schedules, festivals, links to other blues related sites, etc. http://www.okblues.org
- A Musician's Referral List and Band Directory.
- A "Free" Second Sunday Blues Jam monthly and A "Free" 4th Wednesday "Happy Hour" Jam. Information can be obtained from the website, the Back Beat or by contacting any Officer or Board Member.
- Travel funds for the contest winner to represent us and compete in the International Unsigned Blues Talent Contest in Memphis, TN.
- Annual Second Sunday Jam/Picnic in September.
- Hosts the annual "Blues Bash"! This is a great big party for all blues lovers to hear many of Oklahoma's Best Blues Musicians.
